1969 Mustang Mr. Gasket Gasser

Debuted at the 1969 US Nationals, the Mr. Gasket Gasser was a one-off 1969 Mustang Mach 1 hand-crafted fiberglass body from the Ford drag racing program. A 1933 Willys frame was used to meet class rules. “Ohio George” used a variety of engines to campaign this car as a consistent champion. From Aug ‘69 to Oct ‘70, with a 671 Blown 427 c.i. SOHC Ford engine, approximately 1200 HP on pump gas; Oct ‘70 to Apr ‘71, with a 671 Blown Boss 429 c.i. Ford engine, approximately 1200 HP on pump gas;  Jul ‘71 to Oct ‘75, with a twin turbocharged Boss 429 c.i. Ford engine, approximately 1800 HP on pump gas. George campaigned this Mustang to six certified NHRA Super/Turbo Charged Speed/ET Class Records; 1969 US Nationals Super Eliminator Win; 1973 and 1974 Gator Nationals Super Eliminator Wins; and Two NHRA Best Engineered Car Awards. The car is currently in a private collection of Mustangs in Wisconsin.
